Young Designers depends on many people to make the program run successfully. Even if you don’t sew (although sewists are always needed), here are some suggestions for getting involved.

4) Spread awareness ‼️
– Social media (Use social media or newspaper/magazine articles to inform others about the program)
– Personal outreach (Talk to your friends about us and invite them to our events)
– Invite us to speak 🗣️
5) Donations: 💵, 🧵, 🪡 and more!
6) Sponsor different things such as activities, events and etc.
7) Share/use your professional skills
- If you have a specific skill, consider teaching it to our students. In addition to sewing skills, the girls would benefit from:
- Learning to knit or crochet 🧶
- Public speaking 💬
- Etiquette 🙋🏿♀️
- Financial literacy 💳
- Modeling 👠📸
- Career exploration 👩🏾⚖️👩🏻🏫👩🏽⚕️👩🏭
- Other skills that would help participants realize their potential.
- Consider donating non-sewing skills such as bookkeeping, photography, snack preparation, helping us organize events… just ask and we will try to match your talents to our needs.
