Young Designers depends on many people to make the program run successfully. Even if you don’t sew (although sewists are always needed), here are some suggestions for getting involved.

Spread the Word
- Use social media or newspaper/magazine articles to inform others about the program
- Follow and like us and share our posts on Facebook and Instagram
- Talk to your friends about us and invite them to our events
Volunteer
- Consider volunteering with us on a weekly or biweekly basis
- If you have a specific skill, consider teaching it to our students. In addition to sewing skills, the girls would benefit from:
- learning to knit or crochet
- public speaking
- etiquette
- financial literacy
- modeling
- career exploration
- other skills that would help participants realize their potential
- Consider donating non-sewing skills such as bookkeeping, photography, snack preparation, helping us organize events…just ask and we will try to match your talents to our needs.
Support us financially
- Include us in your donations to non-profit organizations (EIN No. 46-1417418)
- Suggest fundraising ideas and help us plan them.
- Suggest grants that fit our mission.
